NFC desktop reader – new look & feel
The NFC desktop reader (ADRB) comes now in a new slim housing. Its elegant black design gives a new look and feel and makes it suitable with modern PC peripherals. The ADRB now supports the full ISO 14443A/B range of tags as well as contactless microcontrollers and Sony FeliCa. NFC P2P functionality according to ISO 18092 is also supported. ARYGON offers the device either as USB or RS232 version. The RS232 model is powered via 5V USB type A connector. The reader is also fully supported by the open source NFC library “libnfc“.
Updated Multi-ISO reader user manual
ARYGON has released an updated version of the Multi-ISO reader user manual for USB (V1.12) and RS232 (V1.07) version. Both files are included in the new download ZIP file which customers can download after successful login in the customer area of www.arygon.com. A sample scriptfile for MIFARE 1k was also added to the ZIP file.
Release of new firmware 6.5 for NFC/MIFARE readers
This is to inform you that the ARYGON NFC/MIFARE products with date of manufacture starting August 2010 will be shipped with the new firmware version V6.5.
The new firmware version is fully backwards compatible to the currently used version V5.1.
Additional features in V6.5 are:
- AES crypto algorithm to support DESFire EV1 card commands
- Additional framing provision for DESFire EV1 read and write commands
- DESFire volatile keys authentication DESFire EV1 PICC level special commands
- MIFARE Ultralight C – 3DES authentication
- Infineon my-d move commands
- Improved error handling

End of life (EOL) for ARYGON AxxA products
This is to inform you that some of the ARYGON products will be set to end of life (EOL) by end of
2010. ARYGONS goal is to always provide highly reliable and state of the art technology to its
customers and keep products in line with the market needs.
All below mentioned replacements are fully backwards compatible with the discontinued products
but provide enhanced features. The AxxB products will be additionally supporting ISO14443 B and
will replace the AxxA product versions.
